A must-read for all

This book gives an AMAZING insight into how an otherwise intelligent, competent and business-savvy individual is lured into cultism and total mind control, by the evil and manipulative "Energy" of George Sharkman. It is truly fascinating to witness Elizabeth's growing desire to leave the cult which is matched by her terror of not having George to control her life and decisions. It makes me wonder how much of this is really going on out there in the privacy of people's homes. It is FRUSTRATING to watch Elizabeth continually pour her hard-earned money and business successes into the ever-expanding coffers of George and his children, even when she intellectually knows that the cult is sucking the life out of her. Highly recommended reading from a very brave author. Thank you for telling your story.

Eye-opening and inspiring

This book was eye-opening, scary, and inspiring - and well-written! A page-turner about a girl not that different from others who got sucked into a cult - and made it out. Amazing to realize it can happen - and she makes it clear just how easily, under some circumstances, it can happen. Inspiring because she pulled out of it. Great non-fiction book.

The Cult Next Door

I downloaded this book from Amazon for my Kindle....It was just wonderful! The author is fantastic! It is a very uplifting, inspiring read. It is a story about a lady Elizabeth. She is influenced by a psychologist and his confidence and charisma entranced her. Elizabeth' incredible journey from the adolescent gullibility to the enlightenment kept me engaged until I finished the book. In my opinion "The Cult Next Door" offer a unique perspective and I personally think you will enjoy this book.
